Lower Dharamshala

Norbulingka Institute - One of the must see place at Lower Dharamshala, established in 1995 to preserve the traditional Tibetan art. Losel doll Museum, art workshops, Deden Tsuglagkhang Temple & norling shop are the main attractions with open cafe ,Tibetan style restaurant one can also try on Tibetan outfits. Also, the institute provide a paid workshop classes for a day / a week for the visitors on prior booking.

Institute Entry Ticket : INR 50 / 200 (Indian / Foreigner). Workshops are closed on second satuarday, sunday & on Tibetan holidays.

Timings : 09:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Gyuto Tantrik Monastry - Inaugurated in 1996 by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama Gyuto monastery is one of the most famous monasteries that specializes in the study of Tantric meditation, Tantric ritual arts, and Buddhist philosophy. It is also the abode of the 17th KARMAPA (Ogyen Trinley Dorje), the Head of Kagyu Tibetan Buddhism since 2000. At present, the monastery has about five hundred monks in all, including its own lamas, tulkus, teachers, students and monks who have come from Tibet, Mongolia, Ladakh, Sikkim, Mon, Spiti and other places.
